Silver Lake

Since it is such a nice, warm day, we thought it would be a good chance to visit Silver Lake. We're feeling kind of guilty that we haven't even been up to the mountains yet this year. Of course, we missed most of the wildflowers (but at least we saw them in Yellowstone) but it was still beautiful. We took Gibson's friend Mikayla and they had a ball playing in the dirt and with their "fishing poles" (sticks) in the water.
Brady, Christen, Gibson and Mikayla
Gibson and Mikayla having a snack. It looks like the sun was in their eyes!
Of course, when it's snack time, all the potguts come out of hiding!
Gibson took this picture for us! I think he did a great job!

He's a budding photographer! Stop talking about my gut!!

In all seriousness, Silver lake is one of my faves! Thanks for the reminder to go up there one more time before fall.

I know, we haven't been to our own moutntains--we have been to everywhere else, but not our own beautiful mountains. Maybe with LaRae and family we can all get together. Can't picnic at the Spruces anymore--only overnight camping. Gibson will be a great photographer! He is such a smartie!
