Noisy Babies!
The other day, Sassie starting howling at the sirens again. I love it when she does this - I think it's so cute! But the funniest part was that she got Lily Lou going.
Lily ran up to us and started talking, too. It was sweet!
(Mom, you'll have to tell me if Skeeter likes these videos).
Red Butte Gardens
We recently took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed up to Red Butte Gardens with some friends. I love going this time of year because you get to see all of the daffodils (my favorite bulb).
A sea of yellow! I can't believe all the varieties of daffodils that they have.
Gibson LOVES crossing on the rock path. He probably went back and forth 20 times.
Gibson sitting on the new wall. They tore out all the old pine tree area and replaced it with this??? I was so upset. I thought they had to rip out the pine trees, etc. for the ampitheatre, but they didn't. Instead there are a few of these round stone structures. I'm very sentimental for the old area - I used to eat my lunch on the benches there everyday when I worked at the hospital. And I would feed the cute squirrels.
When I got home, I was inspired to take a picture of my own daffodils (they pale in comparison, but I still love them!).

Go Jazz!!!
I'm sitting here watching tonight's Jazz playoff game (against the Lakers) and thinking to myself about how lucky Brady and I were to go to the game on Thursday night. How we picked the one playoff game where they actually won (now I know tonight's game isn't over yet, but chances aren't good).
One of Brady's clients took us to the game. We got to sit in the Executive Club Suite and have a really nice catered dinner. Food was available during the entire game and during half-time they brought out a ton of delicious desserts! And our seats were padded leather. What a way to watch a game.
And the best part was the game itself! They won! It was so tense and such a nail-biter, though. How exciting!
And thanks Grandma and Grandpa for watching Gibson for us at the last minute! We had a great time!

Big Pileup!
Gibson was off of school today for Spring Break and he found a great way to amuse himself! He lined up every Hot Wheel and Monster Truck that he has all around the kitchen!
When you buy these one at a time, they don't seem like a lot of money (only $1 for a Hot Wheel). But looking at them all lined up, I couldn't help but think that I had a couple hundred dollars sitting on my kitchen floor!

We had a great Easter! It was a weekend full of festivities! First off, Gibson got to stay at his Aunt Meili's house for 3 days and spend spring break with his cousins. He had a ball! He ended his stay with an Easter Egg Hunt up there.
Then it was off on a bike ride on the Jordan River Parkway Trail to test our new bikes! After a 'heated argument' Gibson finally got on his new tandem bike. We had to put on his old training wheels so that psychologically he would feel safe (note - the training wheels don't even touch the ground). He had so much fun that next weekend he wants to go all the way down the entire trail! (And he said we could take the training wheels off).
After the ride, it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a delicious turkey dinner! And another Easter Egg Hunt!

Paige was helping Gibson open his eggs - he didn't know what to think of that!

Courtney, Lukas and Daryl!
Brady, Christen & Gibson!
Then on Saturday afternoon, we dyed our Easter Eggs. We bought a kit this year that had metallic stuff you could decorate the eggs with. They turned out really cool!
On Easter morning, Gibson got to find his Easter basket and eggs left by the Easter Bunny. (Do you think he likes Spongebob?)
Then Gibson got to go to (yet) another Easter egg hunt. This one was at Union Middle School and it was a lot of fun! The prizes are good and it's organized. He got to see his friend, Ella, there.
Watch him in this video - he's got the hunt DOWN!

Grandma was smart and color-coded them. The blue ones were for Gibson; orange for Carter; pink/purple for Brooke.

We were so glad the weather turned out nice and that we could be outdoors. The family: (I thought I had a pic of Corbin/Casey & fam, but I don't - maybe Casey will send me hers).

Finally!
Something very exciting arrived in the mail today - the new Pet Shop Boys Single, "Love etc."! After too much hastle, I was finally able to get my hands on both CD1 and CD2. With the demise of independent music stores like Modified and Tom Toms, it isn't as easy to get imports anymore. I had to order them from a company in the UK, but they ran out of stock and put me on a waiting list. But I finally received them. Aren't they beautiful!

Happy Birthday Lily Lou!
LILY LOU - I love all my baby kitties, but Lily Lou was by far, the cutest kitten in the world!

We also celebrated Two's birthday. He turned 3 on March 1st and we were on our trip, so he got to celebrate with Lily Lou today.
For their party, everybody got some wet food - a real treat. All I have to do is get that can of wet food out of the cupboard and they all follow me around the house like I'm the Pied Piper!
All five of my babies enjoying the birthday party!

My cute little baby, Lily Lou, turned 11 years old today! I can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday that she was this tiny little kitten and now she's our "fat girl" (that's our endearment for her).

Miscellaneous Pics
Here are a few pictures taken from the past week...
I actually took this picture to show Gibson vacuuming, but I ended up catching both of my men in action! Aren't they wonderful? Notice Gibson's tongue (I'm sure Brady is doing the same thing, but you just can't see it).
Sassie and Squeakers looked so cute snuggled together on the couch that Brady just had to go and get the camera.
