Snowshoeing - March 2012

With the last big snowstorm, we knew it would be a great time (and probably the last time this season) to go snowshoeing. So we headed up to the Nordic Center at Solitude and went snowshoeing around Silver Lake.

My camera shutter didn't open all the way, but at least I got the boys in the shot! Here they are in their backpacks all ready to go! They get so excited when they see the backpacks!
Caleb got to ride on daddy's back! It was an absolute, beautiful, gorgeous day. You could not ask for a better day. Fresh snow, sun - AWESOME! It was so warm that Brady didn't wear a coat. I was wishing that I didn't have my snow pants on! None of us wore gloves.
Yes, there is a lake under all that snow! Gibson knew we were at Silver Lake, but he had to ask us where the lake was!
Awesome Gibson!
Caleb and Gage loved the icicles that were hanging from tree branches. They always had to have one in their hands and loved sucking on them!
Gage and mom!
After our hike, we let the boys just play in the snow for awhile. They had a ball! It's fun to watch them "waddle" around in their snowsuits!

We couldn't figure out what Caleb was doing - it was some version of down-dog in the snow!

Sledding in March

We got one of the biggest snowstorms of the season the first week of March. So we headed to the farm to get in one last round of sledding. Unfortunately, the snow was super wet and we could barely get down the hill.

Brady pushing Gibson and Gage down the hill!
Gibson and Gage at the bottom of the hill.
Poor Caleb, his sled wouldn't even go down at all. We knew it would be our last time that we would need the baby sleds and the buckle broke, so we just threw it away!

So we put the other 2 sleds in the car, got the stroller and fed the ducks and geese instead!

Snowshoeing - February 2012

We finally got some snow (it's been such a DRY winter) and got to try out our new showshoeing equipment!
Caleb is ready to go!
Here's Gage - somewhere! It was snowing and cold, so we covered up his face as much as we could!
It was absolutely beautiful! We went to White Pines up Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Here's Gibson!
Daddy and Caleb!
Gibson - getting buried in the snow by Uncle Kirk!
Meili, Caleb, Brady & Kirk!
Caleb, Brady, Christen & Gage!
We had a great time. It was amazing - I actually got outside in the winter and enjoyed it! We couldn't wait to go again.

Being Stuck in the House all Winter Pictures

There's not a lot of exciting things to do or take pictures of in the winter. So here's what we did during the boring months of January and February:

I love taking pictures of Caleb in Gage when they are wearing old clothes of Gibson's! It's so cute. Totally reminds me of my baby Gibson.
Yes, I am very sentimental about clothes. Something Brady does not understand.
I needed some new workout clothes, so the boys and I went shopping one day. I could not try on the clothes (the logistics of having them at the store with me and trying to get into the dressing room is not worth it!). So when we got home, I tried on my new tops to see how they fit. Well, Caleb and Gage thought that they needed to try them on, too. So here they are in mom's new workout clothes!
Caleb sitting on the couch with his new ball and his monkey! He LOVES monkeys!!
Here's pictures of the boys in their hats! Wearing these hats was something new and fun and kept them entertained for a few weeks!

We did get out a few times to see Gibson's basketball games!
Here's Gibson's awesome Valentine's Day box!
One day, silly Lily Lou decided she needed to curl up in my desk. So she had to make a nest. She moved EVERYTHING out of the way - notebooks, boxes of pens, papers, etc. What a mess! She never does things like this, so it was quite funny! Love you, Lily!!

Naughty / Smart Gage!

We have a "cage" (baby gate) around the end table in our living room. It's where we keep all of our DVDs, our phones/iPods/iPads, Bose stereo, chargers, etc. We needed one place where we could keep this stuff without the boys getting into it. Well, one morning last week, I came into the living room to find Gage IN the cage. So after some spying, I discovered how he was doing it! Smart little shit!

St. George - May 2011

For some reason, I forgot to go through my St. George pictures from our trip last year! So here they are finally!

It was fun to look at these almost a year later... they boys have grown up so much since then!

Gage is already to go... packed up in mom's suitcase!
Hanging around the pool! My parents went down, also - and we had a blast together!
They surprised us by bringing Carter down with them! Gibson was so super excited! He and Carter had a blast together!

Our traditional family dinner at Pizza Factory! Here's Caleb!
Here's Gage!
And here's the whole crew! Gene joined us for dinner, too!
We celebrated my 37th birthday!
After dinner, we enjoyed the evening outside in Ancestor Square. It was nice because Gage was crawling, but he didn't go far and Caleb wasn't crawling yet (he crawled for the first time on this trip!). So it was easy to set them down and not worry too much about them going anywhere!
Carter and Gibson looking cool.
Grandpa and Caleb!
Daddy and Gage!
Mommy and Gage!
Grandma and and Grandpa with the boys!
We went shopping at the outlets for a bit. Gibson and Carter looked too cool trying on sunglasses!

Caleb and Gage eating pickles! They LOVED them!
Gibson and Brady played a little tennis one night (with these ancient raquets we found in our condo).
Having fun at the Fiesta Family Fun Center!
Gibson in the batting cages!
Hanging out in our condo..... Gage playing with the TV buttons and climbing on the luggage!
Caleb reading a story with grandma (I think this is the last picture I have of him with his binky. He voluntarily gave it up not long after this trip).
Caleb just crawling for the first time! So proud of himself!
Having fun in the tub!
Sweet Gage - sound asleep!
What a fun trip! Glad we are going back in a few months!
