Happy [insert day here] of July!

We are NEVER in town for the fourth of July (we are usually in Bear Lake), so it was unusual for us to be able to celebrate it this year. North Salt Lake celebrates on the 3rd of July, so Courtney and Daryl hosted a THIRD of July party. We had a lot of fun! And we could see the fireworks right from their front lawn - great view! Thanks Courtney & Daryl!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Today is Baby Girl's 12th Birthday. Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!
Baby Girl is special to me because she was my first kitty! Brady and I got her after we got home from our honeymoon (yes, if you do the math, that means it's almost our 12th anniversary!).
In our house, a birthday party means WET FOOD! Mmmm! While I was "prepping" the plates, Squeakers and Two were trying their hardest to get to the food.

Bear Lake '09

We had a WONDERFUL time in Bear Lake this year. After a very rainy June, we were concerned about the weather. But it was FABULOUS the entire time. The weather gods were good to us.

Gibson immediately latched onto Gracie - they had a great time playing together.This is me at Bear Lake. This is the only thing you will ever see me do at Bear Lake. My idea of heaven.

Gracie has the cutest marshmellow face in this picture! Dillon (right side) got to come this year. He moved to New Mexico, but flew out for part of the summer. We are glad he was there - he's so good with the kids and they just love him.

The water levels were very high this year (in comparison to other years). On our last day there, the water had started creeping up onto our beach area (see it in the grass on the left side of the picture).

Very futile - we tried to dam the water up.

Finally the dam broke and Gibson just had a ball playing in the water! He build waterways and bridges and tunnels. Very entertaining.

By the end of the day - the water had gone clear over to the other side. We had to move our camp and our truck.

We are entertained every year by idiots who get stuck in the sand. This year, the people next to us on the beach decided to launch their waverunners with their 4-wheeler. Once it got stuck (which Brady predicted), they took another 4-wheeler out there to pull it out. I was quite surprised that they actually got out without having to have us help them with our truck. But I wanted to video-tape the entire thing without them noticing. So I asked Gibson to "pose" for a picture so that it would look like I was taking a picture of him instead of videotaping the idiots. So you can hear/see Gibson in the video saying "cheese". That's almost as good as watching the people who got stuck!

Baseball '09

Baseball just started, so I'm sure this is just the beginning of the pictures! Brady is coaching and Gibson is really good - he loves it!

Swim Team '09 - THE SHARKS!

Gibson is on the swim team at The Sports Mall this year. They fitted them for their "speedos" a few weeks ago and now they finally came in - is that just the cutest thing you've ever seen??? They also get to wear swim caps. Their caps have their logo on it - The Sharks!

Pet Shop Boys!

Just in case you hadn't already heard, I got front row, center stage seating for the Pet Shop Boys at The Joint in Las Vegas in September! I'm so excited I could just burst! If you had to pick the best seat in the house, it would be mine! Woo hoo!

More Kitchen

We picked out our granite countertops and tile flooring this weekend.
The triangle piece on the left side is the granite sitting on top of the tile. The tile is a tuscany travertine; comes in various shapes and hues. Very excited!

I just want a magic wand, though, so I can have the kitchen done instantly. NOT looking forward to the remodel part - just want the end result!

Lukas Turns One!

My cute nephew, Lukas, had his first birthday last week!

This is his cute dinosaur cake! It "roared" at you and Lukas was fascinated by it!

However, he did not enjoy eating his cake. He did not like having dirty hands! Silly boy!
