It's been awhile....

Usually by this time of year, the yard doesn't look so great because of the intense summer heat. But this year, since we got such a late start and haven't had the heat we usually have, my flowers are looking great! (I'd still trade it for better weather, though).

Love my hibiscus plants!

The hummingbirds love this peach-colored flower and Two (my cat) sits inside the plant and waits for them! I have to chase him out.

Yes, Yard Pictures

These daisies are just absolutely beautiful! And I love the "perfectness" of this plant. It's got a nice round shape and it's not too tall that the flowers fall over.
My favorite daylily (and it's hard to choose - I have so many beautiful ones!)

Fushia, my love!

The pots are getting more full!

More Yard Pictures

Every year for my birthday, I go to Valley Nursery in Uintah, Utah (THE best nursery in the state) and get new plants. And then I get to spend all weekend planting them!

What a difference a few weeks can make! Look how big these plants have gotten in just 3 weeks. The snowball bush is HUGE and the flowers are beautiful! I planted my backyard pots... they'll be huge in a few weeks.

I planted 48 vinca plants throughout the yard - most of them in this island.

A Wonderful Weekend!

The weather this weekend was beautiful! We were able to get out and do some yardwork. We even had a BBQ and ate outside! We have this plant that is so beautiful right now! It's the one that actually had a bloom in February. Now it is covered in flowers!

BEFORE (in February)...

NOW! Isn't it beautiful!
We still have a little bit of snow in our yard and I thought these crocuses trying to pop up through the cold snow were so cute.
