St. George - July 2012

Of course, we had a lot of fun just hanging out in St. George, itself.

The day we arrived there was a HUGE rain storm.  I swear it was a hurricane!  It went on for over 45 minutes and caused a lot of major flooding in the area.  This is what the parking lot at our condo looked like after the storm.  It basically turned into a river!

But the nice thing about summer (especially July in St. George) storms, is that it is warm enough to play in them!  Gibson and the boys had a blast in the rain and puddles!

We finally just got in our swimsuits and played in the rain!  Here's Caleb playing with the rush of water coming out of the rainpipe.

And Gibson and Gage playing with the rainpipe!

They are just getting soaked!!

The playground flooded and the kids had a ball playing in it!

Of course, no trip to St. George is complete without a trip (or 2 or 3) to Irmitas!  Mmmm!  BEST Mexican food, ever!

We got the majority of the family (minus Daryl & Brooke) together for a family portrait in Ancestor Square.

We went to the outdoor water park one afternoon.  Unfortunately, it was VERY crowded and we didn't stay long.

And no trip to St. George is complete without a trip to Fiesta Family Fun Center, either!  I haven't ridden the go carts in years, so it was a lot of fun! (Dad and Carter are behind Gibson and I)

Courtney & Lukas and Casey & Paige!

Brady & Gibson with Corbin & Carter right behind!

The bumper boats - I passed on this one!

A RARE picture of my dad smiling (yes - that is a smile!)

Courtney and Daryl's Baby Has Arrived!

Well, after much anticipation, Courtney and Daryl's baby boy has arrived! Poor Courtney went through a lot of labor, pain and pushing and, in the end, her little boy was just too stubborn to come out. So he was born via cesarean section this morning at 11:33 am. He weighed 9 lbs 15 oz and was 22 inches long! He is SO darling; a total cutie! I held him for the longest time and he was just so sweet and content. Gibson says, "I love my new cousin!" He was so gentle with him; softly rubbing his head and letting him hold onto his finger. We cannot wait to see him again! (BTW - they haven't quite decided on a name yet).

(On a side note - we are watching Pepper while Courtney's in the hospital and she rolled in something nasty outside today, so Brady got to give her a bath in the sink!)

Phone Call

Courtney had a "stress test" today at the hospital and I was on the phone talking to her about it (about 3pm). She was telling me that they weren't going to induce labor until tomorrow night at 8 pm and that if the hospital was too full, they weren't going to start her until Friday. All the sudden she said, "Oh!" and I said, "what" and she said, "I think my water just broke!" It is so exciting! I'm so glad she started on her own. I just can't wait to see her cute little baby boy.
