Bear Lake '09

We had a WONDERFUL time in Bear Lake this year. After a very rainy June, we were concerned about the weather. But it was FABULOUS the entire time. The weather gods were good to us.
Gibson immediately latched onto Gracie - they had a great time playing together. This is me at Bear Lake. This is the only thing you will ever see me do at Bear Lake. My idea of heaven.
All 4 dogs. Notice Skippy (far left) is sitting inside the noodle. Jasmine (far right) is sitting in a hole she dug. Sky (top right) is sitting in the bottom of the hammock and Sassie is just hanging out in the middle of them all.

Gibson and Kayden floating around.

Oooh - sexy Brady!
You obviously don't need to have the water trampoline IN the water to have fun!
Roasting marshmellows around the fire - Kirk, Brady and Dave (who likes PSB!)
Tyler and Gibson
Gracie has the cutest marshmellow face in this picture! Dillon (right side) got to come this year. He moved to New Mexico, but flew out for part of the summer. We are glad he was there - he's so good with the kids and they just love him.

Gibson and Brady hanging out on the beach.

Floater Gibson :)

Brady and Gibson built this awesome sand castle!

What a cool dude!

And a cool dog!

Gibson hanging out in his awesome beach chair.
The water levels were very high this year (in comparison to other years). On our last day there, the water had started creeping up onto our beach area (see it in the grass on the left side of the picture).
Very futile - we tried to dam the water up.
Finally the dam broke and Gibson just had a ball playing in the water! He build waterways and bridges and tunnels. Very entertaining.

By the end of the day - the water had gone clear over to the other side. We had to move our camp and our truck.

We are entertained every year by idiots who get stuck in the sand. This year, the people next to us on the beach decided to launch their waverunners with their 4-wheeler. Once it got stuck (which Brady predicted), they took another 4-wheeler out there to pull it out. I was quite surprised that they actually got out without having to have us help them with our truck. But I wanted to video-tape the entire thing without them noticing. So I asked Gibson to "pose" for a picture so that it would look like I was taking a picture of him instead of videotaping the idiots. So you can hear/see Gibson in the video saying "cheese". That's almost as good as watching the people who got stuck!

Oh how I love Bear Lake!! Looks like you had a fun time! And I'm still laughing out loud at the idiots that launched their waverunners in the sand with a 4-wheeler. LOVED your video of them getting out of the water. That is classic! Happens all the time, huh?! And I loved Gibson, "you're not aiming it this way." Too funny!

What a fun time. That is so funny with Brady's swimsuit as Corbin was doing the same thing at our swimming party on Saturday! What, do they think we like to look at their hairy butts?! I don't think so!
